The American Tree

This was found in a popular blog.

About 250 years ago, our forefathers had the foresight to plant a special tree. It was a hybrid, bred to be one of a kind, found only in North America.. This tree was to have only 3 branches. The fruit of this tree was to be a gift to the people.

For the first 150-175 years, the tree was well nourished, it sprouted three strong branches, ahd had many, many roots, all the roots burrowed deeply into the ground, giving this tree the strength to withstand almost any attack. The branches brought forth an abundance of fruit.

During this time of amazing growth, the tree was well tended, and grew straight and tall, taking it's nourishment from the will of the people. Everyone wondered, just how long will this unique tree stand, and is it possible, anything could stop it's growth.

During the past 50-75 years, the branches have become twisted and gnarled. The trunk has also become that way, the roots have lost their grip in the ground, and the tree is now tottering.. What can possibly save this wondrous tree, that was the source of hope, and sustenance for so many people.

The good news is, the tree can be saved. If the people develop the same good will toward one another, and return to the principles and practice that nourished this special AMERICAN TREE for so long, the tree can be saved, and so can we.
