The Enemy Within

Our nation is currently facing two enemies. One is external, a collection of forces determined to destroy our very way of life and replace it with their own narrow vision. The other is internal, forces equally determined to fundamentally change our way of life to suit their own vision of how they perceive it should be. Both are equally insidious.

The external forces that oppose us are all based on tyranny; the supposition that they know what is best for the rest of humanity and are determined to impose their quite short sighted vision under their own self appointed central authority. They insinuate their way into every aspect of life, from the jobs we can have, the food we may eat, and the clothes we are permitted to wear.

In the past such central authority has decided what people can read, what they can see and what they may hear. They use censorship to keep the public in the darkness of their own authority and frown on the public having even one dissenting opinion or ideas of their own. They decide who may marry, how many children one couple may have and where and how those children will be "educated".

We are today faced with no less an imposition by those who have been entrusted with the heritage of our own forebears. A heritage of free thinking and free spirited people who have shaped a nation based in large measure on free enterprise and civil liberties that were purchased quite dearly by those who came before us.

That onslaught to our liberties and heritage is coming from the very halls of Congress, the Executive Mansion and even the Supreme Court itself. The three branches of government that were supposed to hold each other in check have instead seemingly joined forces to rob the people of this nation of what it has long worked for and which is guaranteed by the Constitution itself.

Why is this so? Perhaps it's because certain people consider themselves, by their exclusive education, to be vastly superior and have decided for themselves that they are better prepared to make decisions based on their own ideology and are quite eager and willing to impose that ideology on the rest of society despite any opposition to it. This is tyranny, no matter how much they may try to sugarcoat it as being best for society.

In the final analysis society will decide what is best for itself and does not need any self-centered ideological tyrant to tell it otherwise. That can only happen when the tyrants in our nation's capital are sent the message that the people will no longer tolerate their tyranny by turning them out of office next election day.

Just like the Japanese awakened a sleeping giant in 1941 so too has the arrogance of those in Washington who have usurped authority it was not meant for them to have under the original provisions of the Constitution they all took an oath to "preserve, protect and defend". This nation can no longer afford to slumber as it has for the past half-century while havoc has been created in Washington.

The American Tree

About 250 years ago, our forefathers had the foresight to plant a special tree. It was a hybrid, bred to be one of a kind, found only in North America.. This tree was to have only 3 branches. The fruit of this tree was to be a gift to the people.

For the first 150-175 years, the tree was well nourished, it sprouted three strong branches, ahd had many, many roots, all the roots burrowed deeply into the ground, giving this tree the strength to withstand almost any attack. The branches brought forth an abundance of fruit.

During this time of amazing growth, the tree was well tended, and grew straight and tall, taking it's nourishment from the will of the people. Everyone wondered, just how long will this unique tree stand, and is it possible, anything could stop it's growth.

During the past 50-75 years, the branches have become twisted and gnarled. The trunk has also become that way, the roots have lost their grip in the ground, and the tree is now tottering.. What can possibly save this wondrous tree, that was the source of hope, and sustenance for so many people.

The good news is, the tree can be saved. If the people develop the same good will toward one another, and return to the principles and practice that nourished this special AMERICAN TREE for so long, the tree can be saved, and so can we.

The Unanimous Declaration of the Thirteen United States of America

When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former systems of government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over these states. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world.

He has refused his assent to laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his governors to pass laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of representation in the legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

He has dissolved representative houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the legislative powers, incapable of annihilation, have returned to the people at large for their exercise; the state remaining in the meantime exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

He has endeavored to prevent the population of these states; for that purpose obstructing the laws for naturalization of foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migration hither, and raising the conditions of new appropriations of lands.

He has obstructed the administration of justice, by refusing his assent to laws for establishing judiciary powers.

He has made judges dependent on his will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.

He has kept among us, in times of peace, standing armies without the consent of our legislature.

He has affected to render the military independent of and superior to civil power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his assent to their acts of pretended legislation:

He is at this time transporting large armies of foreign mercenaries to complete the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of cruelty and perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy of the head of a civilized nation.

He has constrained our fellow citizens taken captive on the high seas to bear arms against their country, to become the executioners of their friends and brethren, or to fall themselves by their hands.

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavored to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian savages, whose known rule of warfare, is undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these oppressions we have petitioned for redress in the most humble terms: our repeated petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have we been wanting in attention to our British brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence.They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, enemies in war, in peace friends.

We, therefore, the representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress, assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the name, and by the authority of the good people of these colonies, solemnly publish and declare, that these united colonies are, and of right ought to be free and independent states; that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the state of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as free and independent states, they have full power to levey war, conclude peace, contract alliances, establish commerce, and to do all other acts and things which independent states may of right do. And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

I must admit I hadn’t thought about this until someone called it to my attention. After three years, I have a pretty good idea what the president is but no clue as to who he is.

What he is is clear to me now. He is a socialist, left wing liberal, anti business democrat who never ran a business or had a real job in his life. But who he is, remains a huge mystery to me and just about everyone else in the country.

Questions that have been posed include where are Obama’s past girl friends? Surely he had at least one girl friend in college. No past girl friends popping up anywhere? How strange. Strange to the point of being weird: when Tiger got into trouble, the news media found at least a half dozen girl friends in a big hurry. Given his charisma which caused women to be drawn to him so obviously during his campaign, it looks like some lady would have not missed the opportunity to come forward.

Nope, not one lady has stepped forward and said, “he was soooo shy or “what a great dancer.” No classmate, not even the recorder for his Columbia University class ever heard of him. Where is the footage for the graduation ceremony?

Who was the best man at his wedding? Who were his best friends? Isn’t it odd that no one is bragging that they knew him or taught him or lived with him?

Every president provides the public with all their photos, etc. for their library. What has he released? Nada, other than what was in the so-called biography and some experts who study writing styles, etc. claim it was not O’s own words or typical of his speech patterns.

Does this make any of you wonder?

Ever wonder why no one ever came forward from Obama’s past, saying they knew him, attended school with him, and was his friend? Not one person has ever come forward from his past. This should really be a cause of concern. Did you see the movie titled “The Manchurian Candidate?” It’s well worth your time. Rent it.

Why doesn’t Obama’s photograph appear in the University’s year book? Why won’t he allow Columbia to release his records?

Why, why why? Why so many why’s and so few answers? I don’t know but I don’t like it. Something’s putrid in Peru and I can’t help but believe it doesn’t bode well for our country.

Like many Americans, even thought I didn’t vote for Obama, I felt a sense of pride that he was elected and I really wanted him to succeed as the first black president elected. African-Americans only represent less than 12 percent of the voters so a majority of his votes had to come from white voters; thus dispelling the rant of the race baiters who love to say that Americans are racists.

There are many black Americans who would have made a great president. It’s too bad we didn’t elect one!

WHY?

Crisis or Diversion?

American bonds have been downgraded! Crisis! Catastrophe!! Or is all just another diversion that only causes even more confusion in the minds of the public? Regardless of that just precisely what does it all mean?

Essentially it means that after years of fiscal irresponsibility by not only a Democrat led Congress but by Democrats elected to the Presidency who have placed intrusive social programs above nationality; this nation is finding itself with an enormous bill that it cannot immediately pay. Further, instead of paying down the debt the current administration is adding even more to that debt.

This is not the action of a reasonable and fiscally responsible group. Rather this is the irresponsible behavior of people who have absolutely no experience with such matters and are only interested in their own political survival, even at the cost of the solvency of this nation.

How did this come to pass? How could the safeguards put in place have been so easily circumvented for such a length of time?

To put it bluntly the nation was asleep while these things were transpiring. An essentially strong economy kept us in a state of somnambulance that prevented us from scrutinizing the goings on in Washington City as we should have. Now that we have awakened we have been confronted with a nightmare.

We find ourselves in the unenviable position of having in the highest office in our nation a very flawed individual. Some say his actions are deliberate and designed to destroy this nation from within. Others say he is out of his depth and in his naivete doesn't know how to solve any problem. They state his complete lack of experience and ivory tower thinking that clings to long disproved economic models. Whichever it is there is one thing that is clear and that he firmly believes Government is the answer to all problems. This is where we stand today.

What can be done? Many have already acted and their actions have given rise to the so-called Tea Party which reverts back to a belief in the Constitution and it's ideals. Ideals that have been thwarted by those who have waxed fat in authority over Congress and a pantheon of bureaucracies that have become responsible to no none but themselves.

From that beginning the people can continue to push and demand for a complete reduction of government intrusion into our lives. That would entail the wholesale elimination of those agencies that have usurped the rights of the States; among them health and education.

If we sit back and do nothing then what is occurring in England and on the European continent may soon be coming to our own shores. We have the power of the vote and we must use it judiciously - replacing those who have in many ways taken a step that would most assuredly be frowned on by our Founding Fathers.

Election day is Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Mark it in red and show up at the polls to remove Obama and as many Democrats from their seats as possible so the mess can at least be tackled without the opposition it has encountered to date.

In the meantime do not fall for the red herrings, diversions and assignations of blame by the Democrats. Their reactions are fueled by fear that they will be voted out of office. Let's make it so.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Where is this nation of ours heading? In what direction is it going to ultimately find itself going? Will the noble experiment of our founding fathers continue on the same course or will it deviate from that path and go where it was not intended for it to go?

We've borne witness to an event never before experienced in this country but which was foretold with dire warnings. Warnings that were patently ignored by those it was directed at. Barack Obama is much more interested in remaining in office than in the fiscal solvency of this nation. He is irresponsibly spending funds, with the help of his Democrat allies and bureaucracies that are allied with his ideals and goals. Goals that have seriously hampered the economy of this nation like none has before.

It's quite obvious to many that Obama's aims are to create a large Federal Government which will control practically every aspect of life - the dread of George Orwell's seminal novel 1984. Big Brother and a permanent Democrat majority is only a eye blink away from becoming reality.

Destiny has not always been kind to this nation but in the long scheme of things it has remained basically true to the ideals of those men who framed it's founding documents - the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. These were men who placed their faith in Divine Providence and a belief in the contemporary Enlightenment ideas of nature and reason, of progress and the rights of man.

To these ends they they pledged
"to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor". I point out the order of this pledge - lives then fortunes and finally their sacred honor. These men were willing to place their own lives on the line above all else to battle tyranny and establish a new paradigm in the world. An idea that quickly spread to France and other nations as revolution spread against the old order of Europe.

Yet even when the American Revolutionary War was brought to it's completion there remained many obstacles that had to be overcome by the North American Colonists as they stumbled in establishing a central government. The Articles of Confederation created a very weak central government with no ability to tax the member states and so it was destined to be replaced because this did not satisfy the so-called Federalists who insisted on a more powerful federal government. Thus was born the assembly that would frame the new Constitution for the United States of America.

Since it's ratification and implementation this country continued to face obstacles, the War of 1812 followed by the War Between the States, The Mexican War, the Indian Wars, the Spanish-American War, two World Wars and so on through Korea, Vietnam, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Iran and who knows where else.

Generations of young men have gone off to war to fight for a belief that free men must make their own way and elect those who will lead over them instead of being at the whim of tyrants, no matter what name they may give to themselves. Such tyrants will continue to exist as long as people continue to be swayed by promises of a better future they extoll in the hopes of gaining a toehold of authority over them.

Yet, things took a turn away from ethics and personal responsibility when Supreme Court decisions created a world were the label Civil Rights were plastered on things that had absolutely nothing to do with the original concept of the rights of man. Why was this so? What was the reason behind this enormous fraud perpetrated on society?

Simply put it was because lawyers virtually took over and pushed social programs that stressed avoiding error and removing fear and failure from society. Their actions through court decisions solved nothing and only created the chaotic mess that prevails today. Fear and failure cannot be removed from the equation. The events of the past fifty years have shown that the attempt has only lead to the innocent suffering even more and the guilty not being punished at all.

A pendulum swings from one side to another in a mathematically calculated period. The pendulum of common sense is long overdue swinging back to the side of reason and sanity. To put it succinctly the law needs to be removed from the hands of politicians & lawyers and placed back into the hands of the people; and error must not be made on the side of caution but on the side of survival.

Radical? Maybe. Conservative? Some would think so. Does it lead to survival? Only the passage of time will tell but those who are faced with a crisis of any kind must take radical measure to insure survival. This is a solution that may not be satisfactory to everyone but it is a solution and so far there are no other viable ones on the table. Where do we go from here? There are only two roads - one leads to survival - the other leads to destruction. History has shown that large governments invariably lead to destruction.

Who Really Won?

Who won in Washington today? Who really came out on top? Was it the Tea Party? The Democrats? The Republicans? Obama? The economy? Who really won?

After hearing Obama spout his usual drivel at noon today I've come to the conclusion that there are no winners. No one has changed their viewpoint. The Democrats continue to insist that their way is correct, as do the Republicans, the Tea Party and so on and so forth. The economy is still tanking and everything Obama proposes will continue to sink it. The emphasis of the Democrats continues to be "Tax the Rich" although they use terms like "Fair Share" or "Balanced Approach" as verbal shorthand to say it.

If I were a referee the contest would have been called a split decision with no clear winner on any front. This so called "Super Committee" is an affront to the Constitution which invests legislation in the entire Congress and not in a select Star Chamber. Obama is chortling at the prospect that this committee will manage to enact higher taxation in contravention of the legislation that enabled it.

Who are the winners? There are none and there will be none as long as Obama continues to occupy the White House and pretends to lead this nation.

A leader must possess honor and be able in instill confidence in those he leads. A good leader praises in public and berates in private. He accepts full responsibility for his actions or inaction. He must not allow his own personal feelings to interfere with the job at hand to see that those he leads get through the battle alive. His main task is to insure the survival of all. Sometimes that isn't possible but losses should be kept to a minimum in any event.

Obama has no honor and does not instill confidence. He has visibly allowed his own personal feelings to be well known with his quite obvious petulance and constant assigning of blame to others in public. He accepts no responsibility for his actions or failure to act. He is only concerned with his own survival and cares not if others fall by the wayside. This is the poseur that the majority chose to lead this nation in 2008. Now they know precisely where he is going.


The day Obama was elected I predicted that this country was in for four very eventful years. I didn't then realize how eventful. Those four years aren't over yet and the events to come should indeed prove to be quite eventful in ways that none of us would even dare to contemplate.

Who won? Only the fullness of time will determine who won and who lost - when the future turns into a brighter day or reveals the detritus of disaster.
